Frequently Asked Questions
I want to keep my accountant but still work with Elevate. What does that look like?
Believe it or not, it is common AND encouraged for you to have both a bookkeeper AND a CPA. While Elevate does have a CPA on our team, we can also connect with your CPA to ensure that all aspects of your bookkeeping are taken care of.
What if I want to cancel my monthly bookkeeping?
Our monthly bookkeeping contracts run on an annual basis. This allows for multiple advantages; one of them being that you get to have one, locked-in, steady rate for one full year. Having an annual contract also ensures that we are able to stay in business as we are building long-term relationships that are beneficial to our clients. If you have signed a monthly contract, you will be asked to pay out the remainder of your contract if you desire to cancel.
What if I want to cancel my project or service?
Your initial 50% deposit is non-refundable, meaning that we are not able to refund for any of the initial work that we have already done. If you cancel in the middle of a project, you will be billed on an hourly basis regarding the remainder of the hours we have spent working on your project.
How long does it take for your services to be completed?
For all services, we ask for 45 business days to complete all aspects of the project. While our projects seldomly take that long, we do want to let clients know of our timeframe especially as we hit our busy months.
What does it look like if I sign on to be a monthly client?
How often we update and reconcile your book depends on the package that you purchase. At the very least, ALL accounts in the lowest package are reconciled on a monthly basis. Reports for all three packages will be sent out by the 15th of each month, along with the invoice for the prior month’s services.
Do I need to buy the QuickBooks Online software?
QuickBooks Online offers multiple different monthly subscriptions ranging from around $25-$200. You will be responsible for paying your monthly subscription cost, but it is up to you if you want to bundle it into your monthly fee or if you would like to pay for it separately.
